Mission

You Are Here delivers opportunities and services that equip artists and community members to collaborate, innovate and participate in projects that reflect local culture and heritage, as well as projects that increase individual pride, confidence, and self-worth.

Vision

You Are Here provides material support to artists in the form of studio space and exhibition opportunities in exchange for active engagement in local creative community building through sensitive, sustainable, and relevant publicly accessible projects.  You Are Here provides community access to affordable art-making materials through a reuse center for art supplies and equipment. You Are Here manages a national network of woodcarvers who create and donate one-of-a-kind walking canes to individuals struggling with diminished mobility.

Oh, Scrap!

Oh, Scrap! is a brand new thrift store for artists.  Oh, Scrap! is housed at the new You Are Here nonprofit art space at 406 Clay Avenue.

Monthly workshops in the Oh, Scrap! room introduce participants to the creation of art from recycled materials.  Check out our events calendar to see what is coming up.

Resident Artist Program

Artists guided by specific project goals may apply to rent one of our two private studio spaces for a four-month term.
